Vera Eliashevsky is an employee of Avery Dennsion a global leader in pressure-sensitive labeling materials, office products and retail tag, ticketing and branding systems. Based in Pasadena, Calif., Avery Dennison is a FORTUNE 500 company with 2009 sales of $6.7 billion. Avery Dennison employs more than 35,000 individuals in 48 countries worldwide who apply the Company’s technologies to develop, manufacture and market a wide range of products for both consumer and industrial markets. Vera has been with the Office Products Division for over 30 years in several management roles, currently leading the sales division in the Southern Region of the United States. Responsible for all hiring, development, team leadership, budgets, profitability, revenue and costs. Vera has extensive experience in negotiation, business planning, strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance management, and career development. She has also been a member and leader of several task forces within the industry and earned numerous leadership awards. Proficient in a variety of software programs including Excel, Power Point, Word, Act, CCmail, Lotus Notes, DesignPro. Vera is fluent in Ukrainian and conversational in Russian and Polish. Vera is married and has one married son.

Community and CSCI Involvement
Vera developed an internship program for the U. S. State Department's Community Connections Program in 2001 and hosted the participant, a director and part owner of V&V, a wholesale and retail stationary and paper product concern for schools and offices, whose firm owns several stores throughout Ukraine and employs a total of one hundred and eight people.
In 1987, Vera delivered a position on behalf of Americans for Human Rights in Ukraine to the Chicago Sister Cities Committee and Kyiv Study Group, in support of a Chicago/Kyiv relationship.
