DANIEL B. SHURE

Mr. Shure is President of BeShure LLC, a consulting company founded in 2005 to work with consumer product companies. In addition, Shure serves as Managing Director of Under The Moon Bow, Inc., a toy manufacturing company, and as Managing Director of Goal Mind Enterprises LLC, a game manufacturing company.

From 1988 to 2004, Shure was President and Chief Executive Officer of Strombecker Corporation, America’s oldest toy company, dating to 1876. Shure merged Strombecker with Processed Plastic Co., another Chicago area basic toy manufacturer in 2004 and was President of the combined company. The combined company did business as Tootsietoy Corporation.

Tootsietoy Corporation was a leading supplier of basic toys to the mass market, manufacturing Hard Body vehicles; Mr. Bubbles bubble-blowing solution, bubble toys and other outdoor toys; American West cowboy guns and holster sets; Hearts’N Home tea sets; O’Cedar housekeeping toys; TimMee toy action figures, and Mighty Wheels ride-on toys.

Shure was formerly Vice President of Giftco, Inc., an importer of gifts and novelties, based in Buffalo Grove, IL. Prior to that, Shure was Executive Vice President of North American Bear Company, Chicago, and was a marketing executive at the Procter and Gamble Company in Cincinnati.

Shure, a Chicago native, earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and his Bachelor of Arts (BA) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Mr. Shure is a director of Wolfcraft USA, a manufacturer of power tool accessories, and was, until its sale, also a director of Home Products International, Inc., a publicly traded (NASDAQ) housewares manufacturer. Mr. Shure has also served several terms as a director of the Toy Industry Association.

Mr. Shure was appointed by Chicago’s Mayor Richard Daley to be a Director of the Chicago Sister Cities International Program where he also chairs the Petach Tikva, Israel Sister City Committee. In addition, Mr. Shure serves on the Executive Committee of the America Israel Chamber of Commerce, Chicago. He has previously been a director of the Jewish Federation/Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago and is a past chairman of Jewish National Fund, Chicago.
