Geography:  
As the geographic center of Europe and located on the banks of the Dnipro River, Kyiv is one of the principal transportation routes of Europe.  
 
History:  
Founded around 482 A.D., Kyiv is considered the home of the most ancient developed civilization known as Trypillian culture. According to legend, three brothers Kyi, Schek and Khoryv, and their sister Lybid founded Kyiv. The city was named in honor of the eldest brother, Kyi. (It is also known by its Russian name, Kiev.)

Did you know?  
Alive with trees and flowers, Kyiv is known as a “city within a park” and is also called the Gold-Domed city due to the huge number of orthodox churches.
