BIRMINGHAM: Sunday Tea Time in the Garden

The Committee plans to hold a fundraiser, “Sunday Tea Time in the Garden”, on August 24 at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Afternoon will include private guided tours of the English Walled Garden, children’s entertainment, musical entertainment, raffle prizes, and traditional English tea.

August 24, 2007, 12:30-3 p.m.

Price:
Adults: $75; Children under 12: $25
Free parking; Free shuttle service from Metro station

Attire:
Summer chic, Sunday best
Women are encouraged to wear hats!

Second Prize: Botanic Garden Lunch and Learn
Lunch for two at the Arts Club of Chicago on a mutually convenient date with Sir Peter Crane, former Director of the Royal Botanic Garden at Kew, 1999-2006 and currently The John and Marion Sullivan University Professor at The University of Chicago; lunch for two at the Arts Club of Chicago on a different mutually convenient date with Ms. Sophia Siskel, President and CEO of the Chicago Botanic Garden.

Third Prize: Chicago Theater and Music Package
Two Main Floor seats to a Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert on Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 8:00 PM at Symphony Center: Sir Mark Elder, Conductor with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Emerson String Quartet, performing works by Dvorak and two tickets to any play during the Pegasus Players 2008-2009 Season (specific dates subject to availability).

Fourth Prize: Chicago Cubs
Two tickets to the 2009-2010 Season Opener for the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, Chicago.

A selection of artisan truffles and caramels by Katherine Anne Confections presented in hand-crafted, sustainable boxes.

Rules: You do not need to be present to win. Winner s will be announced at the conclusion of the Sunday Tea Time in the Garden event, August 24, 2008, Chicago Botanic Garden. Winners, who are not present, will be contacted via telephone or email.
