PETACH TIKVA: This Year in Jerusalem: Celebrating Israel through Poetry & Song

Chicago Sister Cities International salutes Yom Hatzmaout – Israel Independence Day with “This Year in Jerusalem: Celebrating Israel through Poetry & Song.”

In this celebration of Israel Independence Day, Dina Elenbogen, Rachel Dulin, Howard Friedland and Yaniv Gal Shaliach will narrate the lyrical and heroic story of Israel through readings of the poetry of Hayyim Nahman Bialik, T. Carmi, Yehuda Amichai, Eliaz Cohen and selections of original works. The Schechter choir will sing some of these beautiful poems.

This program is presented by Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest, UniVerse of Poetry and the Petach Tikva Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International.
