CHINA: Swinging Shanghai Gala

Swinging Shanghai is returning to Maxim’s in a celebration of 1920s-1930s Shanghai as “Paris of the East” to benefit the China Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International. The black tie gala, to be held November 13, 2008, will feature a cocktail reception, silent auction and live entertainment.

A six-course tasting menu, created exclusively for Swinging Shanghai by renowned Opera Executive Chef Beverly Kim, will feature highlights including a lobster green apple jicama salad with champagne, seared diver scallops with XO sauc and her family’s favorite: hong shao short ribs.

To purchase tickets or learn more about sponsorship opportunities, email Phillip.Svehla@cityofchicago.org or call 312.744.8074.
