VILNIUS: The Global Baltics: The Next Twenty Years

The Vilnius Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International is excited to announce the 23rd biannual conference of the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies (AABS) will be held at the University of Illinois at Chicago from April 26-28, 2012.

Along with academic sessions and a welcome dinner, the program will include a roundtable session with Ambassadors to the United States Marina Kaljurand (Estonia), Žygimantas Pavilionis (Lithuania) and Andrejs Pildegovics (Latvia); an address by Dr. Vjačeslavs Dombrovskis, an economist and a member of Latvia’s Parliament; a lecture by the linguist and translator, Professor of Università di Pisa, Dr. Pietro U. Dini, and many other events.
