VILNIUS: Lithuanian Millennium Celebration

The Lithuanian Student Association at the University of Illinois at Chicago, in partnership with the Vilnius Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International and the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania, present an event dedicated to the Millennium of Lithuanian State.

The program includes performances by Chicago Lithuanian community groups “Suktinis”, “Vyÿiai”, “Gabija”, “Dance Duo” and ballet artist Mantÿ Baliutaviÿiÿtÿ. Dances and songs will transition from the early beginnings to the modern stages of our culture. The performance will be accompanied by the photography exhibition “Unseen Lithuania” by Marius Jovaiša and “Traditional Lithuanian Sashes” by Antanina Didÿgalvienÿ.
