It’s all about Greece at the 2nd annual Athens Sister City Shuffle on Thursday evening, August 27, on Chicago’s lakefront.

From the 5K chip-timed run (participants are encouraged to wear toga garb) to the Greek-themed after-party featuring entertainment, food, beverages, awards and more, fun will be had by all! Among the highlights:

- Set to entertain are girl rockers Catfight, the acclaimed Jesse White Tumbling Team, and the Olympian Greek Dance Troupe!

- For an additional $15, participants can enjoy a post-run Gale Street Inn-catered authentic Greek meal with drinks. On the menu are chicken, pork and swordfish shish kabob, Greek sausage, Greek salad (with, naturally, feta cheese & Greek olives) as well as beer and wine.

- The top overall run winners will be honored in a traditional Olympic-style ceremony complete with olive leaf crowns!

The event supports the installation of The Runners sculpture project at O’Hare Airport.
