February 20 – 27, 2012
In 2011, India’s economy forcefully recovered from the global financial crisis, opening the Indian market to a wealth of investment and economic growth opportunities for U.S. companies. To promote the business opportunities of this emerging market to Chicago businesses and to help build relationships in investment and trade between Chicago and India, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Consulate General of India in Chicago, the Delhi Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International and American Airlines, made a preliminary facts-finding trip to India in July of 2011 in preparation of a trade mission to India in 2012. The Chamber is organizing a seven-day trade mission to India in February of 2012 for small and medium-sized U.S. companies who are interested in exploring and developing business ties in India. The mission will begin with two days of meetings in New Delhi, after which the delegation will head for Mumbai for meetings and site visits. The mission will provide a week-long program that will include business matchmaking meetings, meetings with government officials, networking opportunities and site visits.
The Chamber will focus heavily on pre-meetings ahead of the trip, introducing Chicago-based companies to prospective Indian counterparts via video links and emails. The objective is to make the seven-day visit as tangible and productive as possible.

- Agriculture
- Infrastructure/Engineering
