Help the Relief Effort in Haiti

Chicago Sister Cities International is a proud supporter of the American Red Cross and other humanitarian organizations that are currently assisting with emergency relief efforts following the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12.

With estimates that as many as three million people may be affected by the earthquake, the American Red Cross, as of January 14, has committed $10 million to support relief efforts. Priority needs in Haiti are food, water, temporary shelter, medical services and emotional support.

You can help the victims of countless crises around the world each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross International Response Fund, which will provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need. You can give by going to www.redcross.org or to your local American Red Cross chapter.

You may also text HAITI to 90999 to donate $10 to American Red Cross relief in Haiti, which will be added to your monthly cell phone bill.
