Japanese calligraphy is a majestic form of artistic writing. The beauty and wonder of Japanese calligraphy lies in its painstaking attention to detail. Like a sculptor’s hammer and chisel, the calligrapher must use brush and ink to create characters that convey linguistic meaning and stylized expression.

This course is designed specifically for individuals and members who have basic or intermediate knowledge of Japanese calligraphy. Students advance at their own pace, using brush strokes and Japanese characters that fit their own ability. The instructor will provide calligraphy templates that students can use as a guide, along with one-on-one instruction when needed.

Students can attend the class anytime between 3:00-4:30 or 6:00-7:30. Allotting one hour is recommended. All Calligraphy materials are provided.
